UPDATE: Pedro Avalos-Moreno was apprehended in Yuma in the evening hours of 8/1/16 as part of a multi-agency operation.

Pedro Avalos-Moreno has been wanted by the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office since June 21st of this year. Avalos-Moreno now has 6 outstanding felony warrants with nationwide extradition involving the following charges: Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance (x2), Introduction of Contraband into a Secure Facility, Violation of Bail Bond Conditions (x4), Violation of a Protection Order, Fraud by Check (x4), Theft, and Driving Under Restraint. Avalos-Moreno is also currently on bond for Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Weapon of Previous Felony Offender (x3), and Possession of a Defaced Firearm.
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office has information indicating that Avalos-Moreno is in possession of firearms and has been issuing challenges for law enforcement to come get him. Avalos-Moreno has been elevated to Yuma County’s #1 Most Wanted fugiive.
